So what happens if Otto’s blogs get re-posted and the site starts gaining traction? One option is to search for another shared host in hopes that its resource distribution will be better, but this is short-lived, since traffic spikes to Otto’s website make it impossible to keep up with demand. Even that might not be enough to prompt a switch — until his custom decals are spotted on a celebrity’s car and his website needs to expand. With an inventory of products, a host of applications needed to manage that inventory and the need for a more robust eCommerce platform/WHMCS, VPS hosting may be his best choice.
I have used Tom from Mango Matter on numerous occasions to develop web pages both internally and for clients. I have never been disappointed with the quality of work and the functionality of the sites. The best thing about using Tom, is that he responds so quickly to any questions and is able to efficiently fix any issues that arise. Tom is a delight to work with and his web knowledge is second to none.

At A2 Hosting, the advantages of our shared web hosting packages are obviously speed. However, the other pros of these plans include affordability and convenience. Our shared web hosting environment means we can offer reasonably priced hosting plans because our customers are not only sharing server resources, but they are also spreading the cost of hardware, server maintenance, security updates and other factors among all customers on the server. As an A2 Hosting shared server hosting customer, you also do not have to worry about server uptime and technical support because that's our job. Our shared web hosting packages come with an abundant amount of resources like disk space, data transfer and email accounts that are perfect for your personal and small business websites.  These are just a few of the reasons why we offer the best web hosting for small businesses and general users.
According to data from the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN),  almost 400 new generic top-level domains (gTLDs) have been introduced to the Internet at large over the last two years. This is just the tip of the iceberg; ICANN still has over 1200 applications proceeding through gTLD evaluation. The creation of these new domains, such as .care, .digital and .wiki, comes in anticipation of a global IP traffic explosion — industry leader Cisco predicts that by 2016, the volume of traffic will exceed 1000 exabytes (1 zettabyte) per year, or one billion gigabytes per month.
It’s no surprise that VPS hosting offers better overall performance based on the bandwidth it offers users. You’ll have more flexibility to configure your applications on the server, but you’ll need to make sure you have a dedicated system administrator to keep the server running smoothly. If you have high traffic demands or multiple sites to manage, VPS will be the better option.

When you create a website, you want it to be secure, so that’s why you want a host that can give you the peace of mind that you hope for when you launch your website so you know that no one can alter your content or affect your site in any way without your permission. So, you’ll want a host that offers some general securities like software updates, monitoring, SSL certificates for free, DDoS protection, among other basic security tactics. But at the very least a host should be able to keep your WordPress software up to date.
Web hosting is effectively the process of using a server to host a website, and there are all sorts of different types of web hosting available out there on the market. Hostinger, just like most web hosts offer different packages so that their customers can pay for just the resources that they need. The more popular the website is, the more resources it’s likely to need to function effectively.
Aside from VPS, you might want to think about dedicated hosting, where your site is the only site hosted on a server. A dedicated server offers privacy, security, and dedicated resources. You don't have to compete with any other websites for bandwidth, storage space, and speed. This is the most expensive route you can go down, and you’ll need IT skills to manage hosting like this, however, if you are looking for great server performance and maximum control, this is the right hosting for your website.

There’s a lot that you don’t know when it comes to starting a website for the first time, but there are some things you can count on. When your site is newly launched, chances are you won’t attract masses of traffic unless you plan on launching with a major marketing campaign. In this case, it’s unlikely that a new site will need much in the way of bandwidth. Additionally, it’s hard to predict the how much space you’ll need unless you are 100% certain on the size of the content and images you will produce. Shared hosting offers a flexible solution to these unknowns.

Shared Hosting: This is usually the cheapest form of website hosting because it’s the most economical when it comes to the use of hardware. Shared hosting means that multiple different websites are all hosted on the same server, with each user being allocated a certain amount of storage space and a certain amount of resources. This is often the best option for hobbyists and bloggers.

Until 1991, the Internet was restricted to use only ...for research and education in the sciences and engineering...[1][2] and was used for email, telnet, FTP and USENET traffic - but only a tiny number of web pages. The World Wide Web protocols had only just been written[3][4] and not until the end of 1993 would there be a graphical web browser for Mac or Windows computers.[5] Even after there was some opening up of internet access, the situation was confused until 1995.[6]
For simple sites or personal blogs, our Starter plan is usually sufficient. For more dynamic sites (ie Wordpress-based sites) we would suggest our Medium plan for the higher resource allocation. For sites where e-commerce will be conducted or user data will be collected, we suggest our Professional plan for the included SSL which is a necessity for collecting user data.
The host may also provide an interface or control panel for managing the Web server and installing scripts, as well as other modules and service applications like e-mail. A web server that does not use a control panel for managing the hosting account, is often referred to as a "headless" server. Some hosts specialize in certain software or services (e.g. e-commerce, blogs, etc.).
To determine how each provider fared in this criterion, we went ahead and asked each one a simple question via live chat: How do I install a new plugin on my WordPress site? Once we received their replies, each provider was scored according to their response time and how many responses it took them to guide us through the process. Finally, we gave each host a subjective score out of five. Let’s see how they fared:

If you register a domain with Bluehost when signing up for a hosting account, there is a domain fee that is non-refundable. This not only covers our costs, but ensures that you won't lose your domain name. Regardless of the status of your hosting service, you'll be free to manage it, transfer it after any required lock periods, or simply point it elsewhere at your convenience. You retain ownership of your domain until the end of its registration period unless you elect to extend it.

Security: Most managed WordPress hosting services come with auto-updates, automatic WordPress vulnerability fixes, and regular data backup, which give an extra layer of protection to your site. This also gives you a peace of mind since you don’t necessarily have to install and manage complex WordPress security plugins to provide bulletproof security. You should also read out the ultimate WordPress security guide for more details.

Bluehost doubled their prices and their support is crap. They used to have great support, if they had a sale and you talk to them they would the changes you requested to match their sale. Now, they got ought by EIG which own almost all hosting companies out there and they moved their support to India and they could care less about pleasing the client, they do not have the same “the customer is always right attitude”. They doubled their prices and refused to make any changes to match the $6 a month for new accounts, so I told them: Thank you, I am going to start looking for a new hosting company… and they could not care less. So I went with hawkhost and now I am paying $2.24 a month.
