While there are many components to a successful website, it all starts with web hosting. Ensuring that your web hosting company is a top rated, award winning industry leader is a good start to ensure online success! Hundreds of thousands of domains rely on our cutting-edge servers and green data centres to keep their sites running smoothly, and so can you. When you have the right web hosting company on your side, managing your website truly becomes that much easier. HostPapa is the Canadian web hosting company you can trust!
It is ideal to host your website in a data center that is geographically as close to your target visitors as possible. The reason for this is that location has an impact on latency and transfer speeds. Therefore, the closer your website is to your visitors, the faster it will load. As well as improved user experience, page speed is thought to have an impact on a website’s SEO, affecting where your site is displayed in search engine results.
If you require a lot of functionality and versatility from your website, you’ll benefit from programs and applications that can help you build your site. Our Web hosting plans give you access to free, server-side applications that can be used to develop and customize your website, including popular Content Management System (CMS) applications like WordPress® and Joomla!®. You can even add a Dedicated IP if you plan to add an SSL Certificate later.
As a digital agency, we get a LOT of web hosting related questions. People want to know which web host is best for their specific goals (could be a normal business site, or photographer, small blogger, etc.), or where to find a decent comparison that reviews the best web hosting providers for Canada (like this page), or some already know which host they want to go with but want to grab the best deal and find a coupon. The majority have problems identifying which web hosts are actually worth the money, provide the most bang for their buck. So to save ourselves some time answering these questions time and time again, we decided to put a good chunk of time into creating a resource that provides many of the answers people are looking for… and so this page was born!
At Hostinger, we offer custom built hosting control panel. Using our control panel you can carry out basic hosting management, monitor resource usage, create email addresses and install content management systems (CMSs) like WordPress. Note that this is different to the admin panel for your website, which will be created when you install a CMS. This is the admin panel for your server as a whole.
WordPress is a CMS (at the moment powering over 25% of the entire internet) that you can install on the majority of web hosts. Most WordPress Hosts offer 1-click installation of the software. And like most open-source software, WordPress is free for the general population, yay. It is generally the go-to site building platform for small to medium sized business sites, blogs, e-commerce stores, and even forums, because it’s so easy to use and build/design websites with.

The main advantage of Windows is that it is easier to set up and configure than Linux. It is also the obvious choice if you are going to develop your web applications with the .NET framework. The only negative is that while Windows does not specifically have any issues in terms of security or stability, it is not considered to be at quite the same level as Linux. All servers at CanSpace are runnig Linux, and we do not offer Windows hosting at the moment.
